Trip to Seoul Part 4 : Seoul Experience

Posted by Norazo at 5:27 PM
Hallo semuaa.. assalammualaikum ^___^

I am late!!!! well i just coming back from Labuan for Hari Raya Qurban (Eid-Al-Adha), so believe me while in Labuan i dont think i will updating about my Seoul experience.. before that, let me share something on Eid-Al-Adha or "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid". It is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmail (Ismail) as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a sheep to sacrifice instead. Eid al-Adha is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the 12th and the last Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic Calendar. Eid al-Adha celebrations start after the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. The date is approximately 70 days (2 Months & 10 days) after the end of the Month of Ramadhan, i.e. Eid-ul-Fitr. Ritual observance of the holiday lasts until sunset of the 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah (source: wikipedia)
This will be my last update on my 6 days 5 night in South Korea. Fighting!!!

On 25th October 2011, we were touring Seoul city by visiting the tourist spots and shopping arena hehehe.. shopping is a must for women hehehehe... In the morning Gina took us to Blue House (President House) actually we were only able to see the rooftop of the house hehe after all a president live there so there is nowhere we were able to actually go into the house. The Blue House located near to the Gyeongbuk Palace. It is actually a remnant of a palace because majority part of it was destroyed during the Japan invasion. The president house was built inside the palace area. It was believe that Seoul is a strategic place according to the feng shui and the location of the palace is sacred. There is actually a hill behind the palace. It was believe to be a dragon head watching over the palace. It does look like dragon. You don't believe it?? see for yourself below ;p

spot the hill?? the stone on the hill represent the dragon eyes

We were supposed to visit Gyeongbuk Palace. However, it was closed for the day. Therefore, we were rushing to another palace nearby. Upon arrival, they was a march and we were told that it was a ceremony to change the palace guard. Basically the guard was exchanging their shift. It was colorful and fun to watch because they wearing their traditional dresses. Since the palace located in Seoul, it was quite interesting to see traditional palace is well preserved in the heart of Seoul. Pictures juseyooooo

But if you don't buy now when will you coming back again right...After that we were heading to Gwangjang and Dongdaemun Market to buy souvenir (no pictures while shopping ~___~). We end our day at 7.30pm... Back to hotel and we find ourselves broke hahahah.. but it worth every penny ^_______^
